The care you’d give your parent — from someone we vetted like family.
Trusting someone with an ageing parent is the same fear as trusting someone with your child. CareLink answers it the same way: we call her references, check her ID against her face, interview her, and confirm her experience — before she ever steps into your parent’s home.
Companion care, live-in support, and post-hospital recovery — from caregivers who clear the same four checks as our childcare line, and are re-verified every year.
One verification, two kinds of care
We don’t collect documents. We do the vetting.
Before any caregiver appears on CareLink — childcare or elder care — our team completes all four checks below, personally. No one goes live until every one is done, and each is renewed every year.
JCF Police Certificate
Every caregiver must provide a valid JCF Police Certificate — no exceptions, on either service line.
Government ID verified
Government photo ID checked against a live selfie, so the face matches the name.
References — we call them
We phone every reference ourselves and speak to the families she has cared for directly.
Experience confirmed
We interview every caregiver and confirm the real experience she claims through those reference calls — never at face value.
Competitors check once. CareLink re-verifies every caregiver every year — the badge carries the date.
Elder care for real life
From a few hours of company to full live-in support.
Companion care
Company, conversation, meals, light housekeeping, and help with daily routines for a parent who shouldn't be alone all day.
Live-out / daily care
A verified caregiver who comes in for set hours — mornings, evenings, or full days — and goes home after.
Live-in support
Round-the-clock help in your parent's own home, for families who want continuity and a familiar face.
Post-hospital recovery
Extra hands after a discharge — mobility support, medication reminders, and help getting back to routine safely.
Respite / relief care
Cover for a family member who has been caregiving — so you can rest, travel, or work without worry.
Care from overseas
Arrange and manage a parent's care from the diaspora — coordinated on WhatsApp, paid in USD.
Credentials we verify
When a caregiver claims training, we check the paperwork.
Some elder-care caregivers hold formal credentials. Where one does, we confirm it before it ever shows on her profile — we never take a certificate on trust, and we never invent one. If a caregiver has no clinical training, we say so plainly rather than dress it up.
- PCA — Patient Care Assistant
- HEART / NSTA Trust — Allied Health, Patient Care
- Practical-nursing background
- Dementia & Alzheimer's care experience
- First aid / CPR certification
Caring for a parent in Jamaica from abroad?
You’re far away, but the person who visits your mother shouldn’t be a stranger you found in a Facebook group. Arrange verified care from anywhere — coordinated on WhatsApp, paid in USD, with the caregiver paid in JMD.
Questions families ask about elder care
What kind of elderly care does CareLink arrange?
Companion care, live-in and live-out daily support, post-hospital recovery help, and respite (relief) care for family who are caregiving themselves. We match your parent with a verified caregiver based on the specific help they need and the parish they live in.
Are elder-care caregivers verified the same way as childcare?
Yes — identically. Every elder-care caregiver clears the same four CareLink checks: a mandatory JCF Police Certificate, government ID matched against her face, references we personally call, and experience we confirm through those calls and a structured interview. The verified badge never appears until all four are complete.
Do you provide medical or nursing care?
CareLink arranges non-clinical caregiving — companionship, personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, medication reminders, and help with daily routines. Some of our caregivers hold clinical credentials such as PCA (Patient Care Assistant), HEART Allied Health training, or practical-nursing background; where a caregiver claims a credential, we verify the paperwork before it ever appears on her profile. For active medical treatment, we'll tell you honestly that you need a licensed nurse or facility.
I live overseas — can I arrange care for my parent in Jamaica?
Yes. Many families arranging elder care are in the diaspora. Everything is handled on WhatsApp, you pay in USD by card or PayPal, and we pay the caregiver in JMD. See our diaspora page for how families overseas coordinate care back home.
How soon can care start?
It depends on your parish and the help needed. We never rush a match — a caregiver only reaches you once she has cleared every check. Tell us what you need on WhatsApp and we'll be honest about timing rather than promise a date we can't keep.
