Bands are based on actual route-taxi rates collected from sitters in early 2026. We review every quarter.

Triggered automatically when your booking ends at 7:30 PM JM time or later. Optional 7:00–7:30 PM (sitter can request). Waived before 7:00 PM.
Common questions
Does CareLink keep any of the Drop-Home fee?
No. The full JMD amount goes to the sitter to cover her ride home. CareLink takes its standard platform fee on the babysitting hours only.
What if my sitter has her own car?
Then the fee is waived. Each sitter sets a transport mode in her CareLink profile. If she drives or has a partner picking her up, you don't pay it.
Can I just give the sitter cash for her own taxi instead?
You can — but most parents prefer the published rate so there's no negotiation, and we vouch for the driver's vetting. The Drop-Home fee is optional in spirit; we just make it the default for evening bookings.
What about 5 AM early-morning bookings?
Yes — the same logic applies in reverse for bookings that start before 6:00 AM. We add a Safe Pick-Up fee at the same band rates. Mention it in your WhatsApp booking.
Is the driver vetted?
Yes. Our partner route drivers have JCF Police Cert, valid driver's licence, and have signed CareLink's transport code of conduct. The sitter gets a WhatsApp with driver's photo, name, and plate before pickup.
Why don't global platforms offer this?
Care.com or Babysits don't operate fleets, don't know Jamaican geography, and can't vet route taxis. Building this requires a hyper-local operations team — exactly what CareLink Jamaica is.
