Built for the family you left at home

The most common ways the Jamaican diaspora uses CareLink.

Help for grandma with the grandkids

You’re working full-time abroad while your mom in Mandeville is raising your kids. Book a part-time helper to give her real support — afterschool pickup, dinner, homework, bath.

Care during your visits home

Flying in for two weeks? Book a vetted sitter for the days you have meetings, weddings, or want a date night with your spouse without dragging the kids.

Emergency support for elder family

An aunt recovering from surgery. A cousin on bed rest. We aim to dispatch experienced, verified caregivers within 24–48 hours where coverage allows — with WhatsApp updates back to you.

How it works from abroad

Three steps. No need to fly anyone over for an interview.

Step 1

Tell us what you need.

Send us a WhatsApp or email. Include the parish, dates, who the care is for (kids? a parent?), and any specific needs (CPR-certified, drives a car, English + Patois).

Step 2

We match and vet.

We typically send 2–3 verified caregiver profiles within 1–3 business days. Each profile includes JCF Police Certificate status, reference summary, experience, and rates. You choose. We confirm with the family back home.

Step 3

You stay informed, in your timezone.

WhatsApp check-ins from the caregiver to your phone. Weekly written summaries with photos where the caregiver and family agree to share them. A monthly written report. You stay connected even from eight hours away.

Why diaspora families trust CareLink

The hardest part of supporting family back home isn’t the money — it’s knowing who’s actually showing up at the door.

  • Every caregiver carries a current JCF Police Certificate. We verify it ourselves: document scan, name match, expiry date. No US-based vendor that does not cover Jamaica.
  • Weekly written updates from the caregiver. Sent directly to your WhatsApp. You see how the family is doing — not just a notification that someone showed up.
  • Community-vouched, locally known. Our caregivers carry vouches from nearby families, schools, and churches. Real Jamaican trust networks — not anonymous five-star reviews.
  • One concierge handles everything. You do not manage scheduling, payment, replacements, or paperwork. We do. You stay focused on your life abroad.

Pay in USD. No FX games.

Distance shouldn’t mean disconnection.

The most caring thing a diaspora child can do for the family back home is hire someone trusted to show up — and pay for it without asking. We make that part easy.
