How it works

Verified childcare in three steps.

Browsing is free. Verification is the entry requirement, not a badge. And booking happens where Jamaica already lives — on WhatsApp.

From first message to confirmed booking

The fastest path is the WhatsApp concierge. If you prefer to browse first, search the directory and skip step one.

1

Tell us what you need

Open the WhatsApp chat or search caregivers in your parish. Share the basics: parish, dates, hours, children's ages, and your budget. Two minutes is enough — the more detail you share, the tighter the matches we surface.

2

Review verified caregiver matches

We surface 2–4 verified caregivers who match your brief. Each profile shows photo, bio, rate, parish, languages, certifications, community vouches, and reviews — plus their JCF Police Certificate verification status. Take your time, message the ones you like, ask the questions you would ask any new hire.

3

Book on WhatsApp

Message your top choice directly to confirm dates and any special needs. Once confirmed, choose your payment method (card, bank transfer, Lynk, cash, or USD diaspora) and CareLink sends the booking confirmation. The booking, the contract, and the messages all live in one place — accessible to both sides.

What “verified” actually means

Verification on CareLink is five checks — not one, and not optional.

JCF Police Certificate

Original certificate inspected, expiry confirmed, name matched against government ID. No expired documents accepted.

AI document review

Claude vision reads the certificate and flags irregularities. The human reviewer always makes the final call.

Two reference calls

At least two previous employers, families, or schools called. We document what we heard — including anything mixed.

Structured interview

Same question set every caregiver, covering safety scenarios, age-group comfort, and the caregiver's own household.

Community vouches

Three or more vouches from real Jamaican parents, neighbours, or former employers unlocks the Community Trusted badge.

Payments in your currency

JMD on the ground. USD if you are abroad. WiPay, PayPal, bank transfer, Lynk, or cash — whatever works for your household.

Full disclosure of every check on the safety page.

Common questions

How quickly can I get a babysitter?

It depends on your parish and how much notice you give. In Kingston Metro, urgent same-day requests typically match within 60 minutes during business hours — that is our written promise (see /guarantee). Recurring weekday care is best arranged 5–7 days ahead so you have time to interview the shortlist and run a trial day.

Do I need to create an account to browse?

No. Browsing caregivers, reading reviews, and seeing rates is free and account-free. You only sign in when you are ready to book or post a care request.

How do I pay?

WiPay (card), bank transfer, Lynk, or cash on the day. Diaspora parents pay in USD via card or PayPal. Bank transfer, Lynk, and cash bookings carry zero platform fee — you pay only the caregiver's rate.

What if my caregiver cancels?

In Kingston Metro we rematch you within 60 minutes during business hours under our 60-Minute Match Guarantee. Outside Kingston Metro we respond within 60 minutes and dispatch as quickly as coverage allows. If we cannot place a replacement, your next booking is on us.

Are CareLink caregivers really verified?

Every caregiver must pass five checks before they can accept a booking: JCF Police Certificate inspection, AI document review, two reference calls, a structured first interview, and community vouches from real Jamaican families. The verified badge does not appear until all five clear. See /safety for the full disclosure.
