What you'll need to apply.
CareLink's standards are deliberately high — that's why parents trust us. If you have most of these and want to work toward the rest, apply anyway. We'll guide you through.
JCF Police Record (required)
A current Jamaica Constabulary Force Police Record — issued within the last 12 months. We reimburse the JMD $3,000 fee after your first 20 hours.
Government-issued ID (required)
National ID, passport, or driver’s licence. We do a manual ID + name match against your Police Cert.
2 personal references (required)
Family, neighbour, school parent, employer, or church member who can vouch for you. We contact each one personally.
HEART/NTA certification (preferred)
Early Childhood Care, NCTVET Level 1+, or related credentials boost your profile and unlock premium booking rates.
CPR + First Aid (preferred)
Adds a verified credential to your profile and lets you accept newborn / infant / special-needs bookings.

How do I get my JCF Police Record?+
Visit any JCF office with your ID and JMD $3,000. Most offices process within 7–14 days. Once you have it, upload to CareLink and we credit JMD $3,000 to your wallet after your first 20 hours of completed work.
How do I get paid?+
You set your hourly rate. Parents pay you directly via bank transfer, Lynk, or cash (zero platform fee on these), or via card / PayPal (CareLink charges the parent a small platform fee on top — sitters always keep 100% of their listed rate).
How long does verification take?+
Once you upload your Police Cert + ID + references, we typically verify within 24 hours during business days.
Do I need any specific qualifications?+
No formal qualification is required for general babysitting. HEART/NTA Early Childhood credentials, CPR / First Aid, and prior nursery/preschool work boost your profile and unlock premium rates — but they're not gating.
Can I work in multiple parishes?+
Yes. Set your service radius in your profile. If you have your own transport, you can serve a wider area and command higher rates.
What if a booking goes wrong?+
We mediate disputes in good faith and protect you against unfair reviews. You're also covered by our caregiver insurance partner during every confirmed booking on CareLink.
